Nagaland & Assan, India
The idea underlying photographing this unique culture was to find common ground between these and Amazon tribes that I have photographed in the past. Each of the more than 35 tribes in Nagaland performs unique and powerful rituals. Nagaland is yet another reminder of the need to learn from the indigenous tribes of the world before encroaching modernity contaminates and devours them.
